The Lloyd Center in Portland, Oregon, just turned 65, and the Food Court 5000 threw it a birthday bash for the ages.

Over 130 people joined our special birthday edition Retro Mall Walk, complete with Mall Walking Bingo, a photo booth, uncoordinated dance moves, and more kids, dogs, and leg warmers than we could count. Thanks to Honest Babe Lincoln, AARP Oregon, and everyone else who made this event ridiculously fun (emphasis on ridiculous), strutted their stuff while cheering on local shops, celebrated community, and showed the world that this “dying mall” is very much alive. Lloyd Center may be 65, but she still has moves, and so do we.
